Volkswagen Stock Rises As U.S. Delays Higher Tariffs On European Cars

European auto makers are trading higher because new U.S. tariffs on European car imports could be delayed. The industry is already facing many tariff-related headwinds.

Stock of BMW (ticker: BMW.Germany), Daimler (DAI.Germany), and Volkswagen (VOW.Germany) rose 3% on average in Wednesday afternoon trading. By comparison, French auto makers Renault (RNO.France) and Peugeot (UG.France) shares have managed only a 0.3% rise on average.
