SPRINGFIELD -- A standoff has ended peacefully after a man surrenders to police at a home on Roosevelt Drive near N. Limestone Street in Springfield Sunday.

Springfield Police and SWAT were called out to the home on a domestic violence call around 6:30 a.m. A woman and child were able to leave a short time later, but the man barricaded himself inside the home.

Crews shot pepper spray and tear gas into the home to get him to come out. He surrended to authorities around 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

He is currently being charged with domestic violence and enducing panic and is being held in the Clark County jail.
