Roxbury Man Charged After He And A Police Officer Were Struck During A Foot Pursuit

A Boston police officer and a Roxbury man were both struck by a vehicle in Egleston Square after police >say the man fled from the officer, who was attempting to place him under arrest.

Wilfredo Burgos, 39, is facing charges of resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer, according to Boston police. Burgos also had multiple active warrants, including ones for receiving stolen property subsequent offense, larceny under $1,200, receiving a stolen credit card, receiving a lost credit card, unauthorized use of a credit card, and receiving an improper credit card, all out of Roxbury District Court; operating with a suspended license from Worcester District Court; and operating with a suspended license subsequent offense out of East Brookfield District Court.
