ABC 13's weekend anchor says her and her unborn child are safe after a car crash on Wednesday night.
"What a long, awful night (due to a wreck)," wrote Erica Simon on Twitter. "Very sore and car was damaged, but I thank God it wasn't worse. Baby and I are going to spend the day recovering, so I won't be on the air this evening."
What a long, awful night (due to a wreck). 😣 Very sore and car was damaged, but I thank God it wasn’t worse. Baby and I are going to spend the day recovering, so I won’t be on the air this evening.— Erica Simon (@EricaOnABC13) December 6, 2018
Simon said someone slammed into her car at U.S. 59 and 610.
"So glad I was wearing my seatbelt," she told her Twitter followers. "Would have been worse if I hadn't."
The 7-month-pregnant Houston reporter said her back and head were injured in the accident, but her baby is moving and alert.
I’m on it! Been in bed all morning. Got doctor’s instructions on exercises and things I have to do for my back.— Erica Simon (@EricaOnABC13) December 6, 2018
