Police Search For Missing 12 Year Old Kansas City Girl

The Kansas City Missouri Police Department says a missing 12-year-old girl has been found.

The update came just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Kansas City police said Layla Monk had been safely located. She had been missing since Saturday.

No other details were given.


Kansas City police are asking for help in locating a 12-year-old girl who's been missing for two days. 

The department said on social media that Layla Monk was last seen at around 5 a.m. Saturday in her mom's gray 2003 Nissan Pathfinder near Vivion and Antioch roads. She stands 5-foot-6 and weighs about 150 pounds. 

Police say Layla's family is concerned about her well-being. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the KCPD Missing Person’s Unit at (816) 234-5136.
