Police Search For Dark Colored Car After Driver Hit Bicyclist, Fled Scene

Pensacola police are looking for the driver of a dark blue Buick LaCrosse who they say struck a bicyclist Thursday and then fled the scene.

A bicyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car at 2:42 p.m. near the intersection of North N and West Strong streets, according to Mike Wood, spokesman for the Pensacola Police Department.

He said debris left at the scene indicated the vehicle involved in the crash was a dark blue Buick LaCrosse that is missing a fog light cover.

The name of the injured bicyclist had not been released as of Thursday evening.
