Pedestrians Struck By Truck At Baltimore Shopping Center, 1 Dead

BALTIMORE, MD — Two people died and two were injured in a crash Friday afternoon in southwest Baltimore. The collision occurred at Mount Clare Junction shopping center in the 1200 block of West Pratt Street, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

Police allege the driver of a pickup truck hit a building at the shopping center.

A woman died at the scene, and a boy taken to an area hospital died from his injuries, officials said.

Two girls taken to an area hospital were expected to survive, authorities reported.

"At this time, it is unclear if all four of the victims were inside the truck or struck by the truck during the crash," police said in a statement before 8 p.m. on Friday.

The driver was unharmed, authorities said, and nobody inside the building was injured.

Detectives from the Baltimore Police Crash Team are investigating, and they ask anyone who saw the crash to call 410-396-2606.
