Man Arrested After Two People Found Dead Inside Weld County Home

WELD COUNTY, Colo. – A 53-year-old man has been arrested after deputies found two people dead inside of a Weld County home this week.

William Roberts faces two counts of first-degree murder, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies had responded about 7:40 p.m. Thursday to a well-being check at a home in the 11000 block of County Road 6, in southern Weld County. They found two bodies inside the home.

The sheriff's office on Friday was seeking Roberts as a "possible witness," according to a news release, before he was arrested as a suspect.

Roberts was in custody Sunday at the Weld County Jail. More information about the case hasn't been released.
