Boston Police Officer Hit By Car While Chasing Suspect In Jamaica Plain

A Boston police officer was hit by a car while chasing a suspect in Jamaica Plain Wednesday, police said.

The officer, who is not being identified at this time, was hit near 3084 Washington St. He was chasing a suspect with outstanding warrants at 10:36 a.m. when he was hit by the car, Sgt. John Boyle, a spokesman for the Boston police said.

The suspect involved in the chase, who police also declined to identify, has been arrested.

The officer’s injuries are not considered to be life-threatening, police said.
