2 Dead, 1 Injured In Sacramento Stabbing

Two men have died and one has life threatening injuries after being stabbed Friday morning in the area of 21st Street and 65th Avenue, Sacramento police said.

Police were responding to a report of two stab-wound victims that had been dropped off at an area hospital.


"Our officers were at UC Davis hospital on an unrelated call," Officer Linda Matthew said. "While they were there, they were hailed regarding a vehicle that had just dropped off the two stabbing victims. (The officers) assisted in providing life saving measures to those victims as they were transported in to the hospital."

The stabbings happened around 4:20 a.m. It's unclear what led to the stabbings but police said the victims and suspects knew each other.

The two men who were dropped off at a hospital later died from their injuries. The third victim knocked on doors in the area to get help. He also has life-threatening injuries.

The victims have not been identified, but police all three victims were men in their 20s.

A motive has not been determined and police are unsure how many suspects are involved, officials said.

Sacramento police are searching for the suspects. No suspect descriptions have been released.
