Two people have died and one person is in critical condition after all three victims were injured in separate traffic accidents in Mobile.
The first fatal accident occurred on Thursday, December 22 at approximately 7:12 p.m.
Police said officers responded to the area of Government Street and Pleasant Valley Road for a report of a traffic wreck with injuries involving a motorcycle. A preliminary investigation showed that the driver of the motorcycle 24-year-old Bradley Rivers was traveling eastbound on Government Street in the outside lane.
The driver of a pickup truck was traveling south from Government Street Service Road crossed over four lanes of traffic into the eastbound lane of Government where the two of them collided.
Police said Rivers died from his injuries suffered in the accident.
The second fatal accident took place on Friday, December 23 at approximately 1:17 a.m. when officers responded to the 600 block of Azalea Road for a report of a traffic wreck with injuries.
An investigation into the crash showed that the driver of a burgundy Ford Explorer left the roadway and impacted an oak tree. A passenger in the vehicle, Brandon Brady, 18, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said the driver Harrison Walls, 18, left the scene prior to police arrival. Walls was later located, arrested and charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident.
The final accident happened on Sunday, December 25 at approximately 8:55 p.m.
Police said officers responded to the area of Interstate 65 southbound at Dauphin Street for a report of one struck. A preliminary investigation revealed an unknown male subject stepped out in front of a vehicle.
At the time of being transported to a local hospital, the subject was alert but he is currently listed in critical condition.
